Snatch
The snatch is the first of two lifts contested in weightlifting. The lifter starts with the bar on the floor and, in one explosive motion, lifts it overhead into a deep squat to catch the weight with locked arms. It is a highly technical and challenging exercise that requires a combination of strength, speed, and coordination, commonly practiced in Olympic weightlifting.
